The 24 best martinis in Palm Springs (2024)

The Saguaro Palm Springs is a neon-drenched and vibrant hotel in the heart of Palm Springs. With its large pool and two whirlpool hot tubs, this fun and interesting hotel is perfect for travelers looking to have a good time.

The Saguaro was amazing. My girlfriend and I were just looking to escape LA for the weekend and found a colorful oasis with quality drinks, spacious rooms, and a lively atmosphere.Every part of our stay was wonderful, from the clean parking lot to the daily freshened bathroom and extremely hot showers. We didn't have a chance to try the spa, but the pool amenities, pool bar, mini-bar, view, delicious restaurant, and heated pool were out of this world.Very relaxing weekend. Couldn't of done it without The Saguaro.

The hotel appears to be a colorfully painted motel 6. The decor is cute. Check in isn't until 4pm, pets are allowed. We got a room with two beds, they felt clean and comfortable. The room itself was pretty simple, there are definitely signs of wear and tear in the rooms. The walls are very thin, heard the next rooms whole conversation. The pool is a good size but was packed with so many people, there was a DJ from one of the balconies and it was honestly so loud that people were having to yell to keep a conversation. I wasn't able to really enjoy the pool given there were so many people just standing in it with little to no room to swim. Key card didn't work, had to wait in a long line to reset the key card.Ended up going to the pool the next morning since the pool is open early and closes late, it was much better, less people.Overall, a pool party hotel and not worth the price.Pros: Comfortable/clean beds and room, cool pool and other activitiesCons: Crowded pool and overpriced

This hotel used to be much better years ago. There is a lot of wear and tear and the rooms are quite grubby and damaged. The first room they put us in was not at all worth the price being charged. It had lots of scuffs and dirty marks and bugs and everything was faded and worn. There was someone hanging out right outside our patio as well. The staff were great about moving us. The second room was better, but still not worth the price as it looked more recently redecorated but was already damaged. A really lovely idea to have such a fun and colorful motel, but it’s just in need of a complete overhaul. The pool area was lively and nice though. It was fun taking pictures in spots outside that weren’t as damaged.

We had our wedding here and it was PERFECT!! Mark and his events team truly made it a magical night we couldn’t have asked for a better event. We had our reception on the lawn with a taco bar it was awesome! The Saguaro staff is extremely hospitable and friendly they really do a great job there!! The location is central to the airport for our guests that came from out of town and the vibes are immaculate! John Gomez is their BEST bartender and did am amazing job serving our friends and family!

Saguaro was super colourful and cute! The host Randy MADE the entire trip. Super funny, and had lots of great recommendations on places to check out. Would definitely stay here again! The location was nice and close to the airport! The amenities were great! The Drag Brunch show is a MUST!

We just had our wedding at the Saguaro and it was amazing! Mark and Jazmin handled our events and room blocks and solved any problem we had! The space was perfect and beautiful for our ceremony w little work. Mark made sure poolgoers were quiet during our ceremony and everything went off perfectly. The saguaro ballroom was also perfect for our party and had space just outside for our food and bathrooms super close for our guests. The ballroom opens onto a huge patio which we also used. They have great vendors they already work with for DJ, lighting and cakes! We used Marks recommendations and they were all great! Our guests all stayed the weekend and we spent the day after the ceremony at the pool. Service was great and our guests enjoyed the colorful atmosphere and mostly all adult crowd :) thank you again saguaro for making our day perfect! And special thank yous to Mark and Jazmin who went above and beyond!!!

I've stayed at this hotel before and mostly return for the energy and the pool. This review is solely for Jeremy! Jeremy took amazing care of us for the two days we had our cabana. Despite the fact that he was the only person providing service to the entire pool for a few hours on our second day, he still provided attentive service with a positive and friendly attitude. He was the epitome of service with a smile. Really, he always had a smile!

The saguaro has the potential to be a great hotel but with every great feature it has there seems to be a catch. The rooms themselves are nicely decorated and well cleaned. However the room keys to enter the room are almost impossible to use. We tried going through a door and after many tries had to reset the key at the front desk. They said that it was very sensitive and cannot be near wallets or phones. However despite that we were never actually able to open that door and always had to use a door from a different direction to access the hallway with our room. The pool at first glance looks really nice and it is fun to use however the water is super highly chlorinated. Also the pool are has many wet and dirty towels laying as well as old drinks giving the impression. That the pool doesn’t get cleaned much. In addition we had to scavenge for towels and couldn’t find any clean towels available. The saguaro offers really great all around room service but automatically charges a 5 dollar room service fee and then additionally charges you a 22 percent tip fee despite this being room service and not having a waiter. The saguaro also offer bikes however their are no bike trails and the bikes would be useless downtown. All in all the saguaro has some great features but really needs fix take care of some small flaws.

We love it here! We were greeted and helped by the nicest front desk staff; Randy made sure we had a room with a great view and gave us 2 free welcome margaritas. It’s colorful and bright here - just what you think of when you think of Palm Springs! We’ll definitely be back!

Came here for a birthday trip with girlfriends for the weekend. We tried for an early check in but nothing was available yet. ALFREDO at the front desk was so helpful in trying to accommodate all our needs! He kept us updated with any rooms available and after our breakfast one was available. Made the check in easy for us, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to assist us with our luggage to the room. He was truly the best and would come back because of him !!

The lobby was an AWESOME vibe. Very funky and colorful and they even had a cool Barbie display which was nice since the Barbie Movie just came out. The lobby bathroom was impeccable. However the third floor hallway was run down and our room was a bit dirty and dingy. Very cool and funky vibes, just needs to be updated. Also Palm Springs is way too hot in the summer. Was 100 F at 10pm still.

Feel like this is a great, Instagram worthy hotel for young people that want to PARTY and feel like they are back in their doom room with random people knocking on your door throughout the night. Also, probably great for wedding parties that want to dance the night away around the pool area. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay, where you can get some sleep at night, this is not the hotel for you. At least the El Jefe restaurant was good.

The staff here is extremely nice! One of the best parts was how kind everyone was, especially the older gentleman at the front desk. Bartenders at the pool, in the tequila bar, everyone was just so sweet, helped to make it a great stay.

It's only acceptable if you can get it for around $130-140 a night INCLUDING fees. But understand this is more of an high end *motel* (not hotel.) I've stayed here thrice. Two of the rooms had a bit of an odor (cigarettes/liquor) and all three had carpet that looked dirty. But this is a fun property with a festive pool and outdoor area.Know the pool usually has several loud people around it. This is NOT a motel to stay at to relax in peace.I likely would have stayed more often over the years if the dog fees weren't $50 extra in addition to the resort fees as that leaves the price for a one night stay often around $220+ which this hotel certainly is NOT worth.I enjoyed staying at this location since Native Foods was across the street. It was easy to grab lunch and dinner there. For breakfast, I always brought my own fruit and pre-packaged food as I don't feel the on site dining options are worth it.

This hotel was adorable. The views were spectacular 😍 we loved how bright and clean everything was !!We stayed there for our wedding in Jan for three nights .. the pool /hot tub was niceThe hot tub had a little too much clorine in it and ended up bleaching our bathing suits but I guess better that than being dirty !!The room was great, comfortable bed, clean . Just no in room coffee which was a drag for the morningsEverything else was great and I'd stay there again !

I took a last-minute trip to Palm Springs for one night with two dogs and The Saguaro was perfect! Their system was down when I arrived and they couldn't make any new room keys, but they were so fun and kind and had someone walk me to my room and unlock it pretty quickly. It's colorful, retro, has some pretty cool art displays, and completely fits the Palm Springs vibe. Our room was red, purple, yellow, green, orange... so funky and unique. I've never stayed with my dogs at a hotel and was nervous, but they are incredibly pet-friendly and everything went smoothly. We could hear some neighbor dogs barking in the hallway but the room itself was completely soundproof. One thing I didn't see online is the pet fee - it's $50 per pet.Everything was clean and the food was delicious. I want to come back for a longer stay!

Honest review. This hotel had good and bad. The pool, bar and restaurant were all fantastic. Bartenders and wait staff were wonderful. Kids were welcome but this is a more adult-oriented hotel. My teen was fine but would not bring toddlers. Rooms are pretty bare bones and bathroom/fixtures are old. AC wall units are loud.Great location though, free parking, and a free margarita on check in. Fantastic pool! Good restaurant. I would stay here again.

We love this hotel. We stay here every holiday weekend. Nelson took care of us at the pool and Drag brunch. He was so attentive to us, great guy and overall the experience with him was phenomenal.Brian works the bar, and he remembered our names the entire weekend and hooked it up with amazing drinks. Post COVID… it’s been hard to have great service, but wow. These guys!! Wow.

In 24 hours the staff have shown why this is a great place to say! So friendly and all recommended amazing ways to spend our time in the city. Arianna makes the best co*cktails around. Would come back again in a heartbeat.

I live in the area so I really wanted to go to an art event they were having. I had reached out a week prior through their Facebook that doesn't seem to be current and no one got back to me. I had message then so on this day I called I work at a resort locally in guest so I really felt the call in conversation was painful. It wasn't friendly it was informative. I got their yes okay when it was supposed to start and they were not fully set up for everything. It said live music I don't consider a DJ live music. The pool bar you couldn't sit at at all you can only stand and then carry your drink. So I went to the inside bar. Horrible customer service no smile. For the prices that they have it should be fine dining I guess but she's wearing cut-off shorts. No customer service at all for $17 tiny margarita. They were beautiful candles on the bar but they were not lit. They probably just don't care because they're getting minimum wage plus tips so why do they care to give you any good service. The art was cool but I would never go back here for anything.

Amazing hotel, great location, lots of fun amenities, but the best part was the service. Randy was absolutely amazing!!!! He was so friendly, made our stay so much more enjoyable, he recommended some great activities, was always there to chat, and really made us feel so welcomed! We will definitely be back soon, thank you Randy!!!!

They don’t disclose the full amount you have to pay if you book through third party. You have to pay for additional $50 per night on top of what’s shown in the booking sites. I would have stayed in a much better, nicer hotel with the same total price I payed. Definitely not happy!

Staying here for a few days was a great choice. Good location, access to pool is easy and it’s a great spot to relax. Juan, at the front desk has been so nice and helpful so far during our stay. He’s recommended great snacks from the restaurant, and walked us around the property. Above and beyond customer service.

We had a great stay here I would definitely recommend. The atmosphere and rooms were great. The front desk staff (Matthew & Juan especially) were friendly and very helpful. The only negatives were the cleaning crew never cleaned our room even with the “service please” sign on the door. We had to call down twice to get more towels. Also we paid for one of the daybeds and had a great pool day however the pool staff forgot our order every time (5 times). They didn’t even check with us before they closed the bar to make sure we spent our total required spend. I happened to go up to the bar right before they closed and was able to put an order in. It’s not hard to go up and get your drink from the bar so wasn’t that big of a deal just thought since we were paying extra we would have had better service. The pool bar also closes early at 5 pm so keep that in mind when trying to order the required spend. I think it was probably an off day for both of my negatives so I still would recommend staying here.

Overall a fun and relaxing time at The Saguaro. Cute hotel, fun vibe, comfy bed and nice pillows. Staff were friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the pool very much and had great service, liked the music selection and the price for a daybed was reasonable while we were there.Be aware as a family friendly hotel there may be many children…often loudly playing the corn hole and ping pong games, at the pool. Granted, we didn’t look specifically for adults only, although the marketing for the hotel doesn’t feature many families so our expectation was…less kids. Not a negative, just something to be aware of depending on what you want during your vacation.

We flew across country & researched many hotels before we made our decision on the Saguaro. I’m so mad at myself for falling into their marketing and booking a stay at this dump. Carpet was filthy and gives Motel 6 vibes. They charged me over $500 when I got here for no reason and mind you, that was NOT noted on the website when I booked. Didn’t try the food because it’s $20 for 2 tacos. Rooms smell like cigarettes, pool is nice but it’s $300 for a wet daybed. Dogs were barking across the hall from us so bad we couldn’t think straight. Next time I come to this area I will for sure be looking elsewhere. Beware if you dislike hidden fees as much as I do. Just be honest and tell me upfront, don’t hide it behind the pictures of outdated rainbow balconies. (they’re not nice in person)

Great location, fun pool and deco. Rooms are a bit funky and run down. The layout of the hotel feels like a maze. Staff are friendly but seem tired and overworked. It’s noisy- people partying, pool music all day, etc. Overall fun for a visit but the entire place seems like it’s been through the wringer.

Morgan L — Google review

Nice hotel and pool area is very nice. Felt a lack of privacy in my room at night as I was on first floor and the curtains did not provide enough privacy from outside. Had to turn lights off otherwise anyone walking by could clearly see us. Also, this hotel is sneaky and will charge you an amenity fee at checkout. So if book with a third party, be aware of this sneaky tactic.

Location, location, location. This is my second time staying at Saguaro for a conference. The exterior of the building is attractive and the pool is great. The rooms are pretty old and need a good renovation. Staff at the front desk for the most part was impartial to speaking with me.

I've been here several times now. I adore the minimal yet fun decor in the rooms. During my most recent stay we ordered room service from the restaurant El Jefe. The tacos and corn were outstanding! The pool area is the true star of this resort though. The pool is huge and is heated to the perfect temperature for an evening dip. There's 2 hot tubs and cool music playing here. This area also features some hammocks and yoga classes. I will be back here the next time I'm in California. Thanks Saguaro for a wonderful experience!

Not great. Not great at all. Our sheets had glitter in them. An indicator that the sheets were not clean. Our room was not ready at check in. We had to wait an extra hour. Then at 11pm when we pulled back our sheets- dirty. They had already reduced our rate because of the late check in. When I called the desk they wanted to reduce our rate again. I said no. I asked instead for someone to come change the sheets. That took another hour, although I think that at 11pm at night they probably only had one housekeeper on staff, so understandable. Then at 4am our AC started making horrible noises. And that was it. I called around, found another room at a different hotel that would let us check in immediately. We then went to the desk to see if they would refund our stay. Much to our surprise, without any problem they refunded our entire stay. Which was great. But also very telling, I have to believe that unhappy guests are common, and they are just instucted to throw money at it.

Nice amenities. Restaurant is excellent. Pool area is nice. Fun for a girls weekend. If you are booking a hotel based on room amenities…look elsewhere. Our room had obvious evidence of water intrusion on the ceiling from the wall a/c unit. Also first hotel where I’ve stayed at where you put the do not disturb sign on the door and they tap on your door at 9am to bring you keurig coffee pods? Don’t remember asking for that.Overall, they could frankly just do better.
